Magic in Tyrinn
Magic is a powerful type of mystical energy that somehow leaks to the mortal plane of existence from other dimensions, it is still not completely understood what it is or how to use it to the fullest extent but there are those who have learned how to siphon this energy to shape and use it to create effects of unbelievable power, magic can be used to do the near impossible, create great damage or even fix the world depending on how the mages whim.
There exists a wide range of magic in Tyrinn, all spells are divided into different schools of learning with the exception of arcane spells which are the hardest to master but can include all the other schools in its massive range of learning.
Spells of the Arcane
ARCANE -- the largest range of spell variety yet it is only available to those with the highest control of spell power, Pure Mages. arcane spells can have all the other spells within six levels of power. Every experience level a character gains lets them choose from the next level of arcane spells or choose spells from a different school of magic.
Arcane spells must be cast using a spell book, a magic tattoo or the correct reagents held in hand, each individual spell will have listed what is required. If the mages spell book or tattoo is damaged there is a twenty five percent chance the spell will be useless.
Schools of Magic
SCHOOL MAGIC -- available to spellcasters at level three, when picking spells the mage decides on one spell school they will learn from then they can choose any spell from belonging to that school. Spellcasters must use a wand as a focusing device in one of their hands to cast spells and a spellbook or tattoos to record their magic, these however do not need to be out in order to cast. If a spellcasters book is destroyed or damaged they may not use the spells within during the next game until a new one is made. Once a spellcaster has learned all the spells on their list they may pay a cost in gold to a mage trainer to gain access to a new spell school.
