KINGDOMS OF TYRINN

THE DREKMORE EMPIRE

Founded by Eluvian Drekmore, son of one of the dukes of Rhoona, Eluvian was a fair and just warrior who held honor above all else. Eluvian united all the human territories under one banner with charismatic speeches and honorable actions. The Drekmore Empire was brought together against their common enemy, the Grandorian Elves. Decades of war between the two empires ended in a stalemate when the encroaching horde of orcs began invading both kingdoms. Eluvian and Queen Blackwood signed a peace treaty uniting their forces to drive the orcs from their lands. After the battles ended, the peace remained although loosely. Both sides agreeing to not take control of any more land between the two kingdoms which gave way to the freelands. Forty years following the truce, King Eluvian died of natural causes, leaving his three sons: Cornelius, Thorin and Ulaf, arguing over who should take the throne. Civil war erupted, a two year battle ensued in which Thorin, the middle son, was thought assassinated by spies. Ulaf, the youngest, out maneuvered Cornelius’ main army and forced his surrender. Ulaf then banished his older sibling and took his fathers’ crown. The new king has ruled for fifteen years now, breaking the peace treaty and beginning anew the war with the Grandorian Elves. After ten years of banishment, Ulaf welcomed his brother Cornelius back into the kingdom along with his paladin avengers. Cornelius is the head of the church of light and continues to try and talk his brother into returning peace between the kingdoms.

THE GRANDORIAN EMPIRE

It is rumored that the elven race has been around since the beginning, watching as the younger races flourished and grew. Elven lords have been masters of the arcane growing in power over centuries. The first to form the Grandorian Empire was a young elven princess born 600 years ago in a small village. Her name was Loneel Blackwood. She was born with a birthmark, clerics say was a sign from the gods. As Loneel grew to adulthood, her mastery over magick was unlike any seen before. She was named queen and led her people to a lush, fulfilling life. Over the centuries, Loneel has made difficult decisions, banishing the Mysteriati for the worship of dark gods and dealing with the rebellious Noctura. The human race has always been a thorn in the side of Grandoria, expanding and destroying nature, but when the newly formed Drekmore Empire waged war against her people, they took their full military might into battle, fighting siege after siege until a horde of orcs unlike any seen before began raiding elven lands. The human king offered a peace treaty in order to fight back the horde of orcs. Forty years passed with relative peace between the two kingdoms, until the human king died. His son, declaring himself the new king, broke the treaty and began a new war which is ongoing until this day. To help in this new war, Loneel has broke her peace with the other elves of the Noctura and a shady deal with the chaos worshipping Mysteriati. The kingdome of Grandoria is one of the most beautiful places in Tyrinn with natures and elf made architecture combining into one.

KINGDOM OF TOSK

The dwarves of the Tosken mountains have been mercenaries for both Drekmore and Grandorian armies. The underground mountain city of Tosk has existed as far back as their history recalls. Dwarven kings have been chosen in the past, not by family names, but by the deeds they have accomplished. Four hundred years ago, a great red dragon took over the mountain devastating Tosk and killing many dwarves. A young warrior named Jor Thorbish found a dwarven artifact, a warhammer named Thunderclap Ender of the Fallen Sky. With the hammer, Jor slayed the dragon and returned his people to the mountain where he was named king. To this day, Jor rules as a kind, fun loving king who enjoys going to local taverns and spending time with his subjects.

ISLAND ORCS

Centuries ago, orcs ran rampant against Tyrinn conquering and destroying everything in their path. It is said the orcish gods gave their warchiefs immense power that no mortals should have. This led to the gods of light selecting champions to fight and destroy the orcish artifacts. This was the War of the Mace. Peace flourished across the land until a young race of humans banded together to fight the elves. An orcish warchief by the name of Grangol Blacktooth rallied the orcs and began raiding both human and elf lands. Wildly successful, the horde grew and destroyed any who crossed them until the humans and elves made peace and fought Grangol’s horde pushing them back, forcing the surrender of the orcs. The orcs agreed to settle on a chain of islands and would be given free trade as long as they did not attempt any acts of war. Grangol was not happy with this, but went along with it until the time was right to reclaim glory for the horde. Fifty years passed and with the new human king waging war on the elves, Grangol began to once again band the clans together until a young orc warrior known only as Zolag took his clan to Grangol’s capital and demanded an honor blood duel for leadership of the horde. The battle between the two powerful combatants was fierce with both taking critical wounds until Zolag pulled off a shot cutting off Grangol’s arm. The current warchief demanded the young upstart to finish it and with one stroke, he executed Grangol, becoming the new warchief. Zolag is now rebuilding his orcish lands, keeping the peace so his people will live a more fulfilling life.
